This past week, we've had a flurry of lovely new goodies arriving on our doorstep here at ink & peat! We always look forward to transitions between holidays and seasons, especially when the shop starts filling up with warm blush colors and notes of citrus in the air. With all the moving and shaking going on, we have a new-found appreciation for ways to kick up our feet after a long day at work! Window seats offer a nook-style space great for decorating with bright accents and soft pillows. We love the thought of cozying up in one ourselves - with a good book and a spot (or a lot!) of sunshine of course! It has been a sunny winter in Portland this year after all! Check out our picks!

The natural light is better but when natural sources of light are limited, there should be much sources of light. Take account of your environment. Be you in a big city, near a forest or ocean. Certain houses will have more natural light than others and the light in your house moves and to vary during the day. You sit in all the parts of your house all the day and you will see where lighting must be supplemented. The good type of lighting in space on the right will add a glare and a heat to your environment.
