These are some vignettes I did for the Bridal fashion show at The English Dept.
At the top is a large terrarium (vase from West Elm). I started with a layer of small pebbles, then encased each plant in moss and tucked them in. A large echeveria succulent, a miniature violet, and a Rex begonia, and a few cut Green Tiger orchid blossoms all tidied up with moss. Below those pics are some separate plants I did in groupings - they are all in vintage silver footed bowls with moss as well. Amazing they are all still alive and well - some after 2 months and some after 3 weeks!
the terrariums are stunning! I've been wanting to do some myself - this is an inspiration..

so didn't use soil just moss? where did you get it from?
I love terrariums so much..I made one with a maidenhair fern recently and it looks awesome.

i would have never thought to combine succulents with african violets or begonias. it's so beautiful that i want one too. i just have to find the perfect vessel. that's the hard part...
