Last weekend I was so fortunate to meet and have brunch with the lovely and talented Heather Moore of Skinny Laminx. Heather designs all sorts of textiles - tea towels, pillows, decor fabrics, aprons, and now kids cloths in her studio in Capetown South Africa. ink & peat has carried Skinny Laminx since we were first open and I absolutley love her sense of pattern, color, and whimsy. Have you bloggers exerienced this - you may have know someone through blogs for years but somehow once you meet them in person it becomes "real"? You feel like old chums even though you have never met them. Gotta love this crazy blogging world and how it brings folks together. We will have a nice stock in of Heather's tea towels and cushions in a few weeks!

We have carried Sugarboo for about 6 months now at ink & peat and it has been such a pleasure. Rebecca is such a talented artist - her sense of color and whimsy always brings a smile to customer's faces. These prints are so well done with rustic barnwood frames.
I tend to not be a flashy person - more wood and cotton than sequins and fur, but this new jewelry from Lumafina just makes me giddy. It serves all my pack-rack needs for shiny things while still looking natural. I love the chunky crystal necklaces with delicate seed beads.
