I almost jumped out of my chair when I got this press release this morning - Heather Moore of Skinny Laminx has just lauched a fabric line of floral prints - Flower Dreams. We carry her towels and pillows at ink & peat and I just love her sense of color and pattern - modern but quirky and whimsical. What fun!

Here is Heather's take on one of the prints in her new line: Wild Flowers
"The centrepiece of the collection is called Wild Flowers - a large-scale two-colour screenprinted design that manages to be lots of things at once: It’s a bit Japanese, it’s sweetly feminine, a little Folky, a tad popp-y, and just a little bit mad!"

Love some of these furniture and decorative pieces from H.D. Buttercup. I hope to go there next time I visit San Francisco. HAve you been? Maybe it's time for spring but I can't get enough of clean lines and shades of orange!

Love these new cushions from British designer Megan Park. I always appreciate her sense of color and way of combining ecelectic patterns and textures  - playful and hip without being overbearing. Fab!

Just wanted to pop in and post about these adorable new posters from Swedish artist Camilla Engman of Studio Morran. They are so charming and clever and I really appreciate her sense of color. They would be perfect in a little cabin in the woods.

Last weekend I was so fortunate to meet and have brunch with the lovely and talented Heather Moore of Skinny Laminx. Heather designs all sorts of textiles - tea towels, pillows, decor fabrics, aprons, and now kids cloths in her studio in Capetown South Africa. ink & peat has carried Skinny Laminx since we were first open and I absolutley love her sense of pattern, color, and whimsy. Have you bloggers exerienced this - you may have know someone through blogs for years but somehow once you meet them in person it becomes "real"? You feel like old chums even though you have never met them. Gotta love this crazy blogging world and how it brings folks together. We will have a nice stock in of Heather's tea towels and cushions in a few weeks!

Love this poster called Friends of Violet over at Bodie & Fou. Studio Violet is a collaboration between Swedish designers Camilla Engman and Elisabeth Dunker. I love all the quirky little characters, textures, and colors. So charming...

We have carried Sugarboo for about 6 months now at ink & peat and it has been such a pleasure. Rebecca is such a talented artist - her sense of color and whimsy always brings a smile to customer's faces. These  prints are so well done with rustic barnwood frames.
