Catching up on showing you last year still! Here is a lovely wedding we did last September with all shades of green and white. The bride wanted something clean and modern  but not stark. She wanted a bit of romance too. It all came off without a hitch and was beautiful! In the bridal bouquet we went with white and a bit of blush with chartreuse accents. There are Vendella and Avalanche roses, freesia, lisianthus, and cymbidium orchids. We did the bridesmaids bouquets in all green with cymbids, kermit poms, sage, trichillium, Supergreen roses, and green bud hydrangea. The bottom arrangements were for the altar at The Old Laurelhurst Chirch. We used dendrobium orchids, kale, cymbids, Vendella and Supergreen roses, white dahlias, white snapdragons, crocosmia pods, kermit poms, berzellia, willow whips, monstera leaves, and hanging amaranthus for some drama.

Happy New Year everyone! So glad to be back and start off a whole fresh new year! Dragging the dried evergreen swags to the mulch this morning at the shop, I was longing for beautiful spring flowers for sure. Spring will come soon, I know. In the meantime I wanted to catch you up in the next few weeks on some of the flowers and events we did last year. This is a fabulous wedding we did last August. It was at the Conservatory at Garden Vineyards. The bride was as sweet as pie and such a pleasure to work with. I think we had the same vision of the floral design being loose and fresh and light. The photographer Emily G did an amazing job capturing he day - read more about it on her blog . The bouquets and table arrangements consisted of peachy dahlias, Karamel Antik garden roses, Metallina and Alexandra roses, green cockscomb, sedum, red clover, rattle grass, feverfew (which looks almost like chamomile), geranium leaves, and unripe blackberries. The setting was stunning...a tiny garden stone courtyard for the ceremony that opened up into an enournmous rolling green lawn surrounded by tall trees and overlooking the vntage green conservatory - so lovely.

Some pics from a wedding we did last weekend. The bride wanted a very petite and delicate bouquet - wispy and loose. The long low, lush arrangements were for the long tables at a private supper at a lovely Portland restaurant. Burgundy and mauve were added for the cocktail hour at the Chef's table. We used green kale, white dahlias, avalanche roses, gooseneck, white waxflower, stock, zinnias, berzellia, green bud hydrangea, deer fern, geranium, and wispy grasses. For the burgundy and mauve we added aged hydrangea, celosia, burgundy dahlias, and chocolate cosmos. It was perfect for the elegant setting!

Here are some pics from 1 of the weddings we did this month (we did 7). It was one of my favorite color combos - yellow and grey. The bride wanted something very eclectic and modern. We did her bouquet and 3 bridesmaids using echeveria succulents, Little Scottie pom-pom dahlias, billy buttons, Limoncello spray roses, yellow kangaroo paws, and dusty miller. it was all accented with grey grosgrain ribbon. Hope you like it!

Another hand-tied bouquet from May - this one is very lush and romantic. I used Sahara Ecuadoran roses, Mimi Eden pinky spray roses, heather, pink cockscomb, wax flower, lilacs, geranium, rosy leucadendron, and kiss-me-over-the-garden-gate.

Another lovely order from May - this one using citrus tones of yellow, green, and orange. I used Papaya roses, double orange tulips, yellow cockscomb, chartreuse snowball viburnum, white lilacs, pale yellow stock, and bonzai eucalyptus.

Another ecclecltic color combination - a hand-tied bouquet from May. I used lilacs, geranium blossoms from a plant, coral ranuncula, white waxflower, white roses and freesia, berzellia, gravelia foliage, and tulips. The whole color story is grounded with the chartreuse deer fern foliage and the grey dusty miller.

Another order from May...this one using fruity tones - lush and full of flowers...I used Alexander and Papaya roses, orange star of Bethlehem, alstromeria, pink cockscomb, white wax flower, ranuncula, and flowering currant.

I was digging through a file of pics from May and realized I hadn't shown you all most of these floral arrangments so I will catch up in the next few weeks and treat you to some flowery goodness! Sometimes I like to challenge myself by creating unusual color combinations. One way to do this is simply to take a cue from nature. Look at these incredible double ranunculas...if you look at the ones in bud form you will see that they are yellow with touches of hot pink - a color story is born! In addition to the yellow ranunculas, I used Milano and Alexander roses, peach stock, Dragon-Eye leucadendron, pink cockscomb, riceflower, alstromeria,and scented geranium.
