Today we are doing a little tour of the fab home of Jenn (of Chet and Dot) and Jenny (of Plants and Animals and Robot Candy). What a treat to have these talented ladies right here in Portland! I saw Jenn's work - Chet and Dot- right after moving to Portland a few years ago and fell in love with her quirky softies (I have my very own tree softie). I am now so thrilled to have her softies in my shop - little chicks, bun-bun, kitties - so much personality, how can you decide? I love them all! Jenny designs Robot Candy which sells adorable cards and coasters with vintage artwork adhered to reclaimed tiles. Jenny also designs Plants and Animals with her own charming line of softies - including owls, monsters, and art prints. Their house is just a visual feast - little well-curated vignettes and collections everywhere. I love how the bold mid-century furniture pairs with the sweetness of the pottery collections in pastel pinks and turquoise. There are plants everywhere! Little terrariums abound with miniature red dotted mushrooms and mosses. Even the bathroom has a precious collection of vintage beauty-care bottles charmingly poised against a pink tulip wallpaper backdrop. So welcoming and inspiring - thanks gals!

love this posting! i always look for Chet and Dot & Robot Candy whenever i go to portland crafty shows. they are my favorites. thanks for sharing their lovely home!

I really like this living room, with white walls, lots of light and splashes of red and green.

How do plants dispose of the oxygen they generate? Like, you know how everyone is like "plants are good because they breath in carbon dioxide and breath out oxygen?" Well where exactly does it "breath out" the oxygen? Then what happens to the glucose that the plant produces by breathing in the Carbon Dioxide? Thanks!

There are a bunch of chemicals that can kill plants. I would assume a lot of different cleaning chemicals and even household salt could kill a plant.
