A trip to Seattle for the design-obsessed would not be complete without a stop at Velocity Art and Design in the Lake Union district. I was a fan of theirs way back in the Internet-only days and bought a few things so it was nice to finally be able to go to the retail store. Wonderful modern pieces like Angela Adams rugs, ceramics from Heath Ceramics and Perch, Are aware animal pillows and Thomas Paul decor. They also carry Portland's own Esq hand-blown glass, and Dwell bedding to satiate your appetite for modern design. Now - how to get it all home?

I am a fan of their online store too I never realized they have a fantastic brick and mortar shop. I was supposed to go to Seattle last winter and delayed my trip. I am glad in one way; I could have missed them.
