The last little corner of our home for this week...
This is a painting in our guest room. It is by Hartford Connecticut painter Ralph Eno. I bought it at an antique fair on the east coast. The lovely thing is that the man who sold it to me noticed Ralph Eno's obituary in the paper when he died in 1965 and attached the article to the back of the painting for himself or whomever might come upon it in the future. I love how the wood was actually carved before it was painted. I love the serene colors and  feeling its oblong shape.

Little corners of our home...
You may recognize the reclaimed wood tables I have posted about before...
This year I had a hard tome finding paper-whites. I have been forcing paper-white bulbs for about 15 years now at New Years. Since I had such trouble finding them, I got a late start. It turns out I actually like the idea of forcing them in late January. It brightens up the home long after the holidays lights are gone - it certainly feels like spring when you smell them. This large amount of blooms came from only 5 bulbs. I have kept more bulbs so when one set dies, I just start another...
Seen to the right of the paper-whites is one of my favorite pieces of vintage Haeger pottery holding some sweet cutie tangerines.
