Here is an arrangement I did for the events tonight at Office - a design store and gallery in Portland. They are having 2 events tonite - the ADIDAS ORIGINALS sponsored group show featuring 12
Portland artists (including Amy Ruppel) and the party for the release of the new WIllamette Week Finder. Should be a fun event if you can make it out - it will also be last Thursday so Alberta should be hopping (if the rain lets up). Since their shop product focuses on retro-inspired and modern design - I used my modern white ceramic cube and lots of orange.
and a few for this week's deliveries and some gifts
Another gorgeous garden shown in Sunset magazine. This one is one of the Dream Gardens award winners designed by Judy Kameon and Elysian Landscapes in Los Angeles. I can never get enough of the chartreuse green and plum color combo in the garden. We planted this combo in our place in San Francisco and it saddened me to leave that garden. It is such a nice contrast of colors and allows each plant to shine. I love the euphorbia, swaths of burgundy kangaroo paws, tall spiky flax, and rosettes of aeonium. The modern chairs and dot pillow really accent the story.
One of my most favorite, makes my toes curl, hold my breath, try not to drool - stops in New York is ABC Home and Carpet. If you have been - you know what I am talking about. I generally stroll around like a kid in a candy store wanting everything and end up buying a token item on sale for $25 (not bad for salmon colored silk quilted shams). I can't wait to return in August! I love this giant rustic table full of goodies.
the linens and bedding floor
the furniture floor - look at those amazing petrified tree stumps
Here is an order for yesterday - a "get well" arrangment. I wanted something cheerful but also soft and meadowy. I know flowers have always had healing powers for me!
Biedrermier roses combined with yellow garden spray roses, ornamental oregano, and a collar of ti leaf loops make it feel lush and cozy.
I came across this ad in Garden Design magazine for Bali Garden Tour - a high-end tour of gardens and architecture in Bali. It looks like a treat with one of the hotels being the Alila, Bali which I mentioned in a past post. This looks pretty dreamy...
some of the accomadations and sights on the tour...
I was sorting through the mail when I came a cross this little cutie on the Sundance catalog. It is a little trailer that you tow behind your car. It has plenty of room for sleeping and even a little kitchen in the back. Love the retro look. <br clear="all" />
I began to wonder if it was a custom design for Sundance from T@b - another company that makes hip pint-sized trailers. This ones pretty spiffy too for the mod set.
Do you ever see something and find it so charming and wonder - "where have you been all this time?". After working with flowers all these years I have never seen (or maybe noticed) this little cutie - asclepias or butterflyweed. She is all at once tidy and wild, bright and delicate.
and here a few pics of yesterday's order...
my new friend mixed with some old pals - gorgeous pale yellow/green cockscomb, Classic Cezanne roses, berzelia, and variegated mint.
I can never get enough of faux bois cement furniture and decorative pieces. They can add so much visual texture to an indoor space or garden. These lovelies were just featured in Elle Decor's latest issue. The table is from Crate and Barrel and the garden bench is from Currey & Co.
