good clean design

It is so nice when you stroll into a shop and just "get it". This is the feeling I had when we walked into ici in Oakland, Ca. It is the sweetest little ice cream and treats shop. Everything has been considered...from the sugary aqua blue on the walls, to the soft wood tones, to the perfectly tied pink bows on the bags stacked in perfect pyramids atop vintage inspired cake plates. (no photos on their website so photos thanks to Toro E). While you're in the neighborhood, stop by Lola next door for lovely modern home decor and gifts.

what an awesome little shop. wish we had an ice cream place like that here:)

I love their sign and color scheme. I'll have to check it out when I take a trip there next year!

Love your posts.
I've never seen a cocoon of silk worms before!(7May).
The two hands paperie looks like my kind of shop - love those beaten up display tables (8May).
Impressed by the ceiling in the tea house - I would love to go to the Middle East and see mosaics like that (9May)
